Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Science in Medicine, professor, Chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at the N.F. Filatov Clinical Institute of Children’s Health, I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (Sechenov University) (a Federal Government Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education), Russian Federation Ministry of Health. Full member of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) Academy (Houston, USA). Author of more than 1,300 scientific publications, including 40 monographs. Research advisor for more than 150 dissertations for the kandidat degree and doctoral dissertations. Honored Physician of the Russian Federation, winner of the Science and Technology Prize awarded by the Government of the Russian Federation and the V.F. Snegirev and L.S. Persianinov Prizes awarded by the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. In 2019 he became the first Russian obstetrician/gynecologist to win the William Lily gold medal, which is awarded annually by the International Society of the Fetus as a Patient to one scientist in the world. He has been a visiting Professor at Cornell University (USA) and the University of Vienna (Austria), and is an Honorary Professor, University of Vienna (Austria)
